Hey there. This is my bio. And that’s a really big picture of my face.
I’m a writer hailing from the great, suburban neighborhoods of Lakeland, FL. If you don’t know where that is, good, because there’s no reason to visit. People say their grandparents are from there, to which I say, “Everyone’s grandparents are from there.” My family is from New York, so I escaped Florida as soon as I could. But until then…
I attended Florida State University to study BFA theatre and playwriting with the London Theatre Academy program. Throughout college, I wrote and performed in various plays and films. Not many people know this, but FSU has an amazing arts department. After graduating, I moved to New York City. Between glamorous waitressing shifts, I took classes at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre, eventually making my way to their advanced studies program. I continued writing and started performing stand up, sketch, and improvisational comedy anywhere that would have me. Mostly bar basements or back rooms. It was a hustle, but I loved it.
Based off of my comedic work, I got the opportunity with JetBlue Airways to be a part of their “Flight Etiquette” series. I enjoyed the writing portion so much that I decided to study with SVA in NY to continue copywriting. I began freelancing and then moved to LA to escape the cold. I’m now copywriting full-time, specializing in entertainment. I indulge in creative projects from time to time, and enjoy spending time with my adorable puppy and fiancé (I hate that word).
